Sleeping Bag Pads

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: backpacker, backpacking, sleeping bag pads — admin @ 11:04 pm

Sleeping bag pads are not one of the things you should cut from your list. Backpackers want to reduce their weight, but not even ultralight backpackers want to reduce their comfort. Still, who wants to carry those monstrous old inflatables down the trail? Try some of these lightweight options instead.

Make four-ounce sleeping bag pads, and sometimes carry two of them. Use the plain blue closed-cell foam pads available from any backpacking supplier. They are made larger than necessary, usually 24 by 72 inches. Just cut them down to a four-ounce size that fits your torso.

It should reach from your shoulders to your hips. You may want to cut the width a little at a time, testing for comfort as you go. The pad should be as small as you can make it, while still big enough to insulate your torso from the ground. A pillow of spare clothes can be used for your head, and your legs can be on your empty pack to insulate them.

Sleeping Bag Pads For Lightweight Fanatics

To make it really light, cut pieces out of the pad. Small holes in the pad don’t seem to make it less comfortable. If

Use What You Know Best To Excel In Business

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: biz opp, home business, mlm, network marketin — admin @ 3:06 pm

With energy prices going up and the job market staying flat, a great many of us are thinking about starting some kind of business to earn some extra income.

You’re probably also thinking in the back of your mind that your business could take off, make a lot of money, and you could say good-bye to your boss, commuting, and spending so much time away from home.

Good for you! I KNOW you can do it and here’s why.

Usually when people start thinking of going into business for themselves, they concentrate on all the things they DON’T already know. They try to learn more about computers, take a class at the community school, read reports online, and talk to others who have worked in the business.

Those things are good, but what will really help you excel in business are things you ALREADY have and know how to do well.

* Do you show up for work on time day after day? That’s DISCIPLINE. It’s the one must-have factor that separates the go-getters from the tire kickers. You have to be able to set your sights on something, know what you believe in, and not give up easily.

Backup Tape Usage and Replacement Schedule

Backup Tape Usage and Replacement ScheduleDuring the tape backup process, the tape backup media is moved across read/write heads, alignment rollers and drive rollers. Each pass through the tape drive wears away a small amount of the oxide coating used to store the data. A worn tape may backup and verify without error only to fail when a file needs to be restored. The trick is to maximize the use of the tape without allowing it to wear out.

Our recommended backup tape usage and replacement schedule is derived from input from hundreds of users, tape and drive manufacturers’ recommended replacement schedules, and years and years of monitoring tape life and backup integrity.

In short..It works.

The schedule includes, at any time, 12 tapes. The tapes are labeled as follows:

1) Monday 5) Friday 1 9) Quarter 1

2) Tuesday 6) Friday 2 10) Quarter 2

3) Wednesday 7) Friday 3 11) Quarter 3

4) Thursday 8) Friday 4 12) Quarter 4

The Monday through Thursday tapes are used as expected. On Fridays, one of 4 tapes is used. The Friday 1,2,3 and 4 tapes are used consecutively so that you always have a backup more than 1

Dxinone E Currency Trading Review

If you are just starting to learn about this dxinone trading system, it’s normal for someone who is just learning about it to be feeling confused about how the opportunity works.

I personally recommend this sytem, and although it’s an amazing investment strategy, Here are some tips when starting the dxinone system:

-When you’re getting started, don’t invest everything you have, and don’t invest next to nothing. The reason I suggest investing a balanced amount: to make it worth your time. Don’t go overboard because you may require the money for an emergency, and the dxinone system takes a few weeks to process your profits back into your pocket. Don’t invest next to nothing either cause your portfolio will take to much time to grow.

-Learn about how the dxinone system works before jumping in without the proper knowledge. I hear about it all the time: (in whining voice) “the dxinone system is just a big scam, I haven’t gotten my money out”. Again, this is due to ignorance about the system, because anyone who is successful with this sytem knows that it takes several weeks to process your outexchanges.

-If you want to make serious money, disconnect

Spring Break

“Spring break!” The mere mention of the phrase would conjure distinct visions of fun for any particular age group in American history. For well-heeled college students at least as far back as the 19th Century, the spring holiday was a casual time to recuperate from academic stresses. For those who came of age in the late 1950s and early 60s, Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello defined and inspired a more established spring break ritual. Young adults today, who have never known life without MTV, experience spring break as an aggressively produced and marketed event that has all the flash of a rock concert, major sporting event, and fashion show, all rolled into one annual beach blast.

Over the years, spring break revelers have made a home for themselves at many different beach locales. The Frankie and Annette crowd could be found primarily at Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Daytona Beach and Panama City Beach, also in Florida, began solidifying their own respective popularity not long after. Palm Beach, California, along with international stars Cancun, Acapulco, and the Bahamas, have all established themselves as crowd favorites today.

There’s another major spring break hotspot right in Texas’ backyard. South Padre

Peyton Manning

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: colts tickets, indianapolis colt, peyton manning jersey — admin @ 6:03 pm

Born in New Orleans on March 24, 1976, Peyton Manning is the son of legendary New Orleans quarterback Archie Manning and Olivia Manning. While Peyton attended high school, Archie was the color commentator for the New Orleans Saints radio station. As a youngster, Peyton would occasionally visit off-season practices with his dad. On one occasion, then Saints coach Jim Mora, allowed Peyton to work out and toss some passes to the Saints receivers. Even more unbelievable than a high school student practicing with NFL receivers is the fact that he fit in perfectly at such a young age. While attending Isidore Newman High School, Manning served as quarterback during all 3 years. At the end of his senior season, Peyton Manning was the top recruited quarterback in the nation and was named as the Gatorade Circle of Champions National Player of the Year.

Following high school graduation, Manning decided to attend the University of Tennessee where he, once again, became a star quarterback for the team. While proving his skills on the field, Peyton Manning proved that he had equal skills in the classroom. Earning a BA in speech communication and graduating with honors was important to Manning,

Building Better Citizens

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: Building Better Citizen — admin @ 4:04 pm

Children are never too young to learn how to be good citizens. “Explain to your children that they are citizens of many communities-their town, the country and the world,” says Sharon Bergen, senior vice president of education and training for Knowledge Learning Corporation, the nation’s leading provider of early childhood care and education. “Most important,” says Bergen, “is for parents to model good citizenship.”

Bergen suggests parents explain to their children that being good citizens means caring about others. She offers these tips:

Start by encouraging citizenship at the local level. Encourage your children to help elderly neighbors-without payment. At school, they can organize a recycling drive to benefit a local charity. Instill the habit of volunteerism by helping at a library or animal shelter.

Children can learn to appreciate their heritage. For example, parents can explain why Americans celebrate the Fourth of July and Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday.

To drive home the concept that we are all citizens of the world, teach respect for the environment and for other cultures. As a family, join a cleanup project on Earth Day or contribute time and money to assist victims of natural disasters worldwide.

Shifty Eyes and Quick Hands: Kleptomania

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: mental health, psychosis, stress and anxiety, therapy, treatmen — admin @ 2:06 pm

Not all thieves are Jean Valjean. Nor are all thieves the type that wear business suits and spout promises every election year. Just as not all thieves are the same, not every thief steals for the same reasons. Some do it out of necessity, such as the Jean Valjean who merely wanted a piece of bread to satisfy his hunger. Others do it for monetary gain, whether for themselves or for others. Others steal as an act of rebellion or defiance, challenging authority by violating the concept of ownership, a fundamental component of the law. For some, the problem relates to a mental health disorder and they literally can’t stop themselves from doing so. When mental health is inextricably linked to someone’s stealing, most people would probably not be mistaken in labeling that person as having kleptomania.

Is This Uranium Bull Market For Real?

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: commodities, energy, Investing, stock market, stock tips, stock tradin, utilities — admin @ 9:10 am

In light of Toshibas recent proposed acquisition of Westinghouse Electric from the government-owned British Nuclear Fuels (BNFL), historians may be reminded of former Westinghouse Chairman Robert Kirbys litigious international outcry and prolonged battle over secretive and illegal price manipulation by a global uranium cartel. In the 1970s, Westinghouse, determined to capture the world market of building nuclear reactors, offered dirt-cheap nuclear fuel as part of its incentive to get sales from utility companies. The companys 27 utility customers had locked in agreements with Westinghouse to provide them with 65 million pounds of U3O8 over the next twenty years, well into the 1990s. Those contracts set off one of the most curious legal battles of the 1970s, ultimately reducing Westinghouse to a shell of the powerhouse it once was.

In recent weeks, Toshiba (London Stock Exchange: TOS; Tokyo Stock Exchange Ticker Code: 6502) has been strongly criticized for the Westinghouse acquisition, and may sell as much as 49 percent of the deal to two other Japanese firms and a smaller stake to an American firm. Toshibas CFO, Sadazumi Ryu said the company would pay for some of its acquisition costs within three years out of current cash flow plus float debt

Goji and Great Sex

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: goji berries, goji juice, se — admin @ 12:03 am

A healthy sexual relationship can promote every aspect of your life, including your physical health and self-esteem. And although sex in your idle or later years may be a bit atypical from how it was in your twenties, it can be every bit as pleasing and fulfilling. Simply understand the normal changes that are occurring in your body and your partners body. These changes can affect your capability to have and enjoy sex and, if not addressed, you might have difficulties with arousal or performance (sexual dysfunction). Results from a national research of people aged 18 to 59 years reported in the Journal of the American Medical Association indicate that sexual dysfunction is common among both women (43 percent) and men (31 percent).

Boost Your Sex Drive with Goji

Your libido (sex drive) is regulated by the hormone testosterone. Although classified as a male hormone, testosterone is produced by both men and women. As you grow older, your body produces less testosterone. Thus results significantly diminished interest in sex.

The renowned herbalist Ron Teeguarden reports that in Chinese studies, goji was shown to markedly increase testosterone levels in the blood, increasing libido in test subjects.

Testosterone is not the only

Misspelled Scriptures

One way to confirm that cyberspace is the great equalizer is to observe the quality of editing that exists …

I am truly amazed at the mangling endured by the English language on a significant number of sites. It’s fair to assume that this malady has its roots in short attention spans during the school years. As a result, accuracy is often the first victim of poor spelling and grammar.

Still, if we’re going to cite examples of this averral, let’s do it with a touch of humor. Here are some responses by younger students from a secular school when asked to expound on various teachings of the Bible. Their words are unedited:

“In the first book of the Bible, Guinessis, God got tired of creating the world, so he took the Sabbath off.”

“Adam and Eve were created from an apple tree.”

“Noah’s wife was called Joan of Ark.”

“Noah built an ark, which the animals come on to in pears.”

“Lot’s wife was a pillar of salt by day, but a ball of fire by night.”

“The Jews were a proud people and throughout history they had trouble with the unwympathetic Genitals.”

“Samson was a strongman who

Giving Dollhouses As Gifts

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: dollhouses, Gift — admin @ 2:59 am

Dollhouses are wonderful gifts for both children and adults. Children love the interactivity of this fabulous toy. A toddlers imagination will run rampant, inspired by the familiar backdrop of home and family. Older kids see a dollhouse as a fashion statement, a chance to play with the emerging roles of adulthood. A dollhouse provides a safe place to role play adult responsibilities, as well as a wonderful backdrop for expression of self and decorating tastes. Young adults often view dollhouses as collectors items, the first real item of lasting value that they will acquire. In middle age, dollhouses begin to take on a somewhat nostalgic air, as changing life roles and empty nest syndrome may lead middle-aged adults to use the dollhouse as a psychological remembrance of when things were different. The elderly love dollhouses for a variety of different reasons, ranging from nostalgia to a hobby that they can share and pass on to grandchildren.
